What we do

We install baby gates, cabinet locks, furniture anchors, outlet covers, and everything else that keeps curious toddlers out of trouble. Every job is done by someone focused on childproofing, not a general handyman extending out from other trades.

Each room gets its own approach. Baby gates at the top of stairs need hardware mounting into studs, not pressure tension. Cabinet locks need to match what is behind the door, whether that is cleaning supplies, glassware, or a knife block. Furniture anchoring matters more than most parents think; tall dressers and TVs cause most tip-over injuries. A full home walkthrough ties it all together so nothing gets missed.

Why a specialist matters

Childproofing looks simple from the outside. Mount a gate, install a few locks, screw an anchor into the wall, done. In practice the failure modes are subtle. A pressure-mounted gate at the top of stairs is a hospital trip waiting to happen. A cabinet lock that does not account for the door swing or the cabinet box will fail within a month of toddler abuse. A furniture anchor screwed into drywall instead of a stud holds nothing.

A general handyman is unlikely to tell you which IKEA dresser models were in a tip-over recall, why some hardware-mount gates work in old plaster walls and others do not, or whether your back-hinged cabinet doors need a different lock than your face-frame uppers. We treat childproofing as the focus, so the answers to those questions are in our heads instead of a Google search you do later.

We will tell you what your home actually needs and what you can skip. Not every cabinet needs a lock. Not every room needs a gate. We focus on the hazards that matter.

One-visit service

Most jobs are finished in a single visit. We measure, install, and walk you through everything before we leave.

What we do not do

Pool barriers, fence inspections, alarm systems, and electrical work fall outside our scope. Pool safety in particular is too high-stakes to handle as a side service; for that we recommend a dedicated pool fence company that carries the right insurance and certifications. Same with security hardware and any work that requires an electrician's license. Doing fewer things on purpose is how we keep the things we do dialed in.
